Kaduna State Governor, Mr. Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has appointed Mr. Muhammad Bashir Sai’du, an accountant, as his Chief of Staff. The appointment was announced in a statement signed by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to Mr. El-Rufai.
Before this appointment, the statement said, Mr. Sai'du was the Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government.
Born on 21 July, 1957, Mr. Sai'du holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He worked with the Kaduna State Government before joining the defunct National Maritime Authority (NMA).
He joined active politics during the Third Republic, when he became a member of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In the Fourth Republic, he was Zonal Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) before becoming the Kaduna State Secretary-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and later Secretary, Kaduna State APC Campaign Council for the 2015 general elections.
Mr. Sai'du's appointment is with immediate effect.
