And it’s not hard to see why as Rihanna boldly stole the show in a piece from Comme Des Garcons 2016 Fall ready-to-wear collection that resembled flowers blooming all over her body.
Three dimensional pop out pieces at her sides added extra wow factor for the already out-there look.
The Met Gala is the highlight of the fashion calendar, and Rihanna’s outfit fit the theme perfectly. She was the best dress for the event.
With ground-breaking Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakuboas named as this year’s theme ( Now this is how you interpret “Rei Kawakubo/ Comme des Garcon : The Art of The In-Between) , the famed fund-raiser provided plenty of spectacle.
The Tokyo-based designer was deemed worthy of the solo focus of this year’s gala – which inaugurates the museum’s eagerly-awaited accompanying exhibit of her label.
