President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the resignation of the minister of women affairs, Aisha Alhassan popularly known as Mama Taraba.
Alhassan tendered her resignation on Saturday following her disqualification from the governorship race of Taraba State by the All Progressives Congress.
On Twitter, the Presidency @NGRpresident tweeted, “President @MBuhari has accepted the resignation of Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan as Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development with immediate effect.
“In a letter signed by him today,PMB said, “I have received your letter offering your resignation as a Minister of the Fed. Rep of Nigeria. I accept your resignation with immediate effect. On behalf of the Govt & people of Nigeria,I thank you for your past services to the nation.
