Disgraced Nigerian MP Fiona Onasanya Jailed

Disgraced Nigerian ex-Labour MP Fiona Onasanya has been jailed for three months for lying to avoid a speeding prosecution.

The independent MP has been jailed for three months after being found guilty of lying to police to avoid a speeding fine.

The 35-year-old was driving 41mph in a 30mph zone in the village of Thorney near Peterborough.

Before she was sacked from the Labour Party, Ms Onasanya compared her plight to Jesus in leaked WhatsApp messages to fellow MPs.
