A UNICAL graduate, Mary Owan, who was supposed to be married on Saturday,2nd February, 2019 was sadly buried on that day. The 2018 graduate of History and International Studies was on her way with her fiancé, Emmanuel Bisong, a lecturer at the Chemistry Department, UNICAL for their traditional wedding when their car was involved in an accident and Mary instantly lost her life.
