Uganda's ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) has endorsed long serving President Yoweri Museveni to vie for the top seat for the sixth time in 2021. The party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) resolved Museveni 74 needed to continue leading NRM and the State beyond 2021 to facilitate smooth transition, two years after successfully scrapping the law capping presidential candidates' age at 75.
