Two of the great popular culture icons of this decade have been Lionel Messi and the immensely popular HBO television series Game of Thrones.

The two have come together at last, with the Barcelona star showing off a trio of customised trainers based on the programme.

Messi shows off three pairs of the Adidas shoe on his Instagram story, each in different colours with 'Game of Thrones' written on the inside sole.
