Man Arrested For Dressing As A Female Muslim

Police officers in Lamu County have apprehended a man from Makueni after he was caught dressed in female Muslim attire. A neighbor called the attention of the police after spotting a ‘girl’ of suspicious character in the neighbourhood.

According to a police report, officers on patrol visited the house of Idris Kororo, a Somali man, where they found Mutuku. Dressed in a buibui, hijab and bra, Mutuku claimed he was a woman who went by the name Farida Chemutai.

Authorities say that the man arrived in Lamu county from Nairobi just two days ago.
