India McCall, 21, an events management student at Leeds Beckett University, was shocked to discover it was barely large enough to fit around her friend's thigh.
She tweeted a picture of her friend wearing the red faux-leather garment with the caption: 'I ordered a red corset belt in a size 8 and it just about fits round my skinny mate's leg. Not happy.'
India bought the £11 ASOS PU Leather Underwire Corset in her usual size 8 and was shocked when it arrived so small.
While India said she was 'not happy' with the sizing mishap, her Twitter followers found it amusing.
One wrote: 'OMG is that a joke' followed by a series of laughing emojis.
While a third commented: 'Looooooool'.
