Senator Elisha Abbo's wife reacts to assault video, says her husband is innocent

Senator Elisha Abbo's wife, Emily Eric has said her husband is innocent of the allegation levelled against on him and she stands by him.

In a post she shared on Facebook, the wife of the country's youngest Senator, wrote;

"I stand with you babana
And we will always stand for truth
My husband is innocent of what people are saying against him".

In the viral video which took place in May, the Senator could be seen repeatedly slapping a lady before asking an armed officer to take her away.
