Abia Polytechnic sacks 258 workers

Abia State Polytechnic in Aba says it has sacked 258 members of staff in its drive to reposition the polytechnic.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the school, Mrs Chinyere Eze, read, “In our determined drive to reposition Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, for greater operational efficiency, we wish to inform members of the public that we have commenced the implementation of the review report on verification of staff and their certificates as approved by the State Executive Council in April 2019.
