Osun isolates 120 Ivory Coast returnees

Osun State Government on Saturday said it had received and kept in isolation some indigenes of the state that recently returned from the Ivory Coast.

The travellers, said to be about 120, arrived in the state on Friday and moved to a government facility in Ejigbo where they would be observed for 14 days, as part of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Chief Press Secretary to Osun State Governor, Ismail Omipidan, confirmed the arrival of the group to The Punch

Omipidan said, “We received them on Friday. They are about 120 in number that arrived from Ivory Coast and they will be observed for 14 days.

“During the period, they cannot receive visitors. Whoever visits them at the facility will join them in the isolation centre. We have made that clear to them and we are also closely monitoring them.” // <\/s'+'cript>'); // --> //]]> From ICE
