Video of DJ Switch testifying before the sub-committee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development of the Canadian parliament, has been shared online.
It would be recalled that DJ Switch, who was a firsthand witness of shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at Lekki tollgate on October 20, recounted her experience before the Canadian Parliament on Monday, November 9.
DJ Switch stated that the military opened fire on the protesters after creating a three-line formation, debunking the Nigerian army’s claim of soldiers firing blank bullets into the air.
She told Canadian parliament that she counted at least seven persons shot, adding that one of the soldiers threatened to shoot her.
DJ Switch also alleged threat to life, saying that she was being threatened for speaking up about the incident, even after the night of the shooting.
Reports say the Disc Jockey is now seeking asylum in Canada over threat to her life in Nigeria.
