Singer Omah Lay Reportedly Arrested In Uganda Following Live PerformanceSinger, Stanley Omah Didia better known as Omah Lay has reportedly been arrested by Katwe police in Uganda following his live performance in the country on Saturday, December 12.

On the night of December 12, the Port-Harcourt-bred 23-year-old performed at The Big Brunch, which held at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd in Kampala.

Uganda’s Assistant Superintendent of Police and Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luk Owoyesigyire, made this known in a tweet on Sunday.

He added that manager of the venue where the singer performed, Dungu Ivan and the events manager, Prim Kasana were also in custody, as at press time.

Though the reason for Omah Lay’s arrest was not stated, it may not be unconnected to violation of COVID-19 social distancing protocol at the concert.

More details to come.
