President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday decorated new Service Chiefs at an event that held in Council Chamber at the State House in Abuja.
The decoration ceremony was witnessed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha; Defense Minister, Major-General Bashir Magashi (Rtd); the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari as well as the spouses of the service chiefs.
The new Service Chiefs decorated are, Major General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff, who is decorated as full General; Major General Ibrahim Attahiru; Chief of Army Staff decorated with the rank of Lieutenant-General.

Also, the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo was decorated as Vice Admiral; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Ishiaka Oladayo Amao is decorated with the rank of Air Marshal.
The decoration of the new service chiefs comes after the National Assembly confirmed their appointment.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan during the confirmation advised the new service chiefs to take the insurgency war to the terrorists and bandits and dislodge them from their enclaves.
He reminded them to be conscious of the fact that Nigerians expect a lot from them to address the security problems confronting the country.

Also, the House of Representatives confirmed the Service Chiefs in February after they were called upon to share their portfolios as well as their visions.
