However, according to PeoplesGazette, chief of army staff, Ibrahim Attahiru is one of the military officials in the plane.
The development comes barely two months after he was appointed as chief of army staff in replacement of Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.
A competent source from the Airport told TheNation all the crew members and passengers numbering 12 died in the crash.
According to reports, the aircraft crashed at the runway of Kaduna international airport at about 6 pm while it was raining heavily.
The plane was said to have crash-landed on the runway, with the eight people on board feared dead, making it the third crash of a NAF aircraft in the past three months.
More details to come.
