Nollywood filmmaker, Jeta Amata has raised an alarm over the alleged disappearance of his former wife and actress, Mbong.
Jeta and Mbong went their separate ways in 2013 and divorced in 2014 after 10 years of marriage and a daughter. They have remained friendly exes since then and have even embarked on a movie project together.
Amata revealed this via his Instagram page on Thursday, June 17, 2021, saying Mbong has been missing from social media since January and has not been in contact with their daughter, Veno, who is also worried about her mum.
He wrote;
Can somebody please just ask why Mbong has gone missing from social media all year? No one seems to know anything and it’s affecting my daughter, that no one would tell us.
She wants to see her mother. If she is not well, Veno wants to go and be by her side and we need to know to stop worrying.
Jeta also replied Oreva, son of his older brother, Fred Amata, who advised him to remove the post as he is against the film maker airing his laundry on social media.
The last time Mbong posted a photo on her Instagram page was on January 17.

In a new video he posted, Veno said she hasn’t heard or seen her mum since New Year’s day and that efforts to get in touch with her have proved abortive.

Amata broke the news of their breakup to a notable blog and was quoted to have accepted blame for the separation, describing his woman in warm terms.
He said;
Mbong is an amazing mother, an incredible wife…all the time we were together she would never let any other person cook my food…she was faithful and good to me and gave me the best gift in the world, our beautiful daughter. If I didn’t cage her so much maybe we would still be together. I stole her youth and didn’t let her live her dream so it was better to let her go and find new adventures. She’s happy and so am I. Despite the fact that we are no longer together, we are still good friends. She even lives close to me here in LA. Things are great between us and I’m happy to see her happy.
The former beauty queen turned actor revealed in an interview years after that getting married at a very young age with a promising career affected her marriage.
