On Wednesday, March 1, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was announced as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
The announcement has been met with predominantly mixed reactions from social media commentators and pundits particularly on the microblogging site, Twitter.
The electoral body announced the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the winner of last Saturday’s polls.
Tinubu secured a total of 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished in second place with 6,984,520 votes.

Upon the announcement, Nigerian youths who have been critical of the rulership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) took to the social media platform to express their displeasure. Several commentators opined in their respective social media accounts that the 2023 presidential election was rigged and was void of the transparency.
It was also opined that the former Lagos state governor emerged winner of the election that was marred with several irregularities and falsification of election results.
