Emery Officially Confirmed To Replace Arsene Wenger

Unai Emery has officially been confirmed as the new Arsenal head coach, the club has announced.

The Spaniard, who left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this season after two years, beat Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta to become the man to succeed Arsene Wenger after 22 years at the helm.

An image appeared on Emery’s official website yesterday evening with a picture of him and the Arsenal badge with the slogan “proud to be part of the Arsenal family” along with his signature, however it was later deleted.

But now the club has confirmed his appointment after deciding his experience was what was needed to take the club back to being competitive in the league. // <\/s'+'cript>'); // --> //]]> From ICE
