Kwara Shuts 40 Illegal Schools

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development said it has shut about 40 illegal schools in the three senatorial districts.

A statement yesterday by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mariam Garba, said the schools were operating without approval.

She warned the affected schools not to violate the government’s directive because the government is committed to the provision of quality education. Some of the schools shut are Graceland Nursery and Primary school, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin; Al- Bayan Nursery and Primary School, Share; Solid Foundation Nursery and Primary School, Shonga, IPS Nationwide, Offa.
