In what appears to be an attempt to forestall another round of #EndSARS protests, armed policemen and soldiers have been spotted at the Lekki toll plaza, Lagos State
According to reports on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, the security operatives were deployed around midnight.
Though, Lagos State Police Command was yet to make a statement about this as at the time of filing this report, the force on a press release on Sunday said it had credible intelligence about fresh protest scheduled to start today, Monday December 7.
Both the military and the police authorities has warned several times that they would not permit another round of protests to take place, amid threaten to resume demonstrations by some Nigerian youths.

The peaceful protest against police brutality which began early October saw the participation of many Nigerians in various cities and states.
However, the demonstrations turned bloody in Lagos State on October 20 when soldiers opened fire on young protesters at the Lekki toll plaza, an epicentre of the protests in the state.

The protest by the reason of this incident came to an end and was thereafter trailed by vandalism and looting in Lagos, Benin, Ogun and some other states.
