Officers of Lagos State Police Command have on Saturday morning reportedly fired tear gas canisters at protesters gathered at Gani Fawehinmi Park in Lagos, venue of June 12 Democracy Day protest.
The protesters were demanding an end to bad governance, insecurity, poor economy when they were tear-gassed by the security operatives.
According to TheCable, security operative also fired several shots into the air in a bid to stop protesters who gathered at the venue on Saturday.
Also about three hilux vehicles and two armoured tanks were seen at the venue.
