Founder and CEO of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga has allegedly been gruesomely murdered by his mistress.
According to a popular blog, StellaDimokokorkus, his lifeless body was found on Friday morning in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stable wounds and cash withdrawal of N5million from his Bank.
After all efforts to reach him proved abortive, Ataga, who was a director in Super Network Limited, a telecoms firm, who resided in Banana Island, Lagos state, was reported missing last Sunday by concerned friends and family.
Multiple reports say his Victoria Island office reported that he wasn’t there either, which put family members in a panic mode.
His wife, who is a manager in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and children, reportedly reside in Abuja.
Unfortunately, his lifeless body was found in the Lekki flat with multiple stable wounds, StreetJournal reports.
Ataga, who would have been 50 years old this week, reportedly began the relationship with the lady who he met about two weeks ago.
He allegedly rented Airbnb in Lekki, Lagos state where they both checked into before the unfortunate incident.
Following his disappearance, through concerted efforts of his wife, a combined team of concerned friends, family members, the police and DSS operatives all the way from Abuja through the concerted efforts of the wife, were said to have tracked down the owner of the Airbnb, who received payment from the woman’s bank account into which Ataga had previously made a transfer for the payment to.
The apartment was reportedly broken into and and he was found dead with multiple stabs in his neck, chest and thigh.
Investigation revealed that the yet to be identified mistress allegedly carried out the murder after she drugged him, as the security guards at the shortlet apartment claimed that no other person visited Ataga, besides a dispatch rider.
The woman, who was last seen on Tuesday when the murder happened, was equally tracked down and arrested alongside the owner of the Airbnb.
Many of Ataga’s friends have expressed shocked at how the lady was able to pull the dastardly act all alone as Ataga was said to have been an amateur boxer who was very strong.
Reports say after the woman left the apartment following his death, large sum of money was withdrawn from Atage’s Guaranty Trust Bank account and that withdrawal only stopped when an email from Ataga’s email address asked for a change in his account details.
With this, GTBank reportedly put an embargo on the account to prevent any further withdrawal.
