Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tolanibaj whose real name is Motolani Shobajo has come under fire for refusing to take down her post on Twitter following the gruesome attack of church goers in Owo, Ondo state.

The reality star was criticized by Nigerians for promoting her YouTube channel instead of joining her colleagues and other citizens to condemn the nefarious incident.

On Sunday, June 5, it was reported that gunmen invaded the church at about 12 pm and opened fire on worshipers, leading to the death of an unspecified number of people.

The attack has continued to generate reactions and anger from concerned citizens of the country who demanded prompt actions from the Federal Government to address the deteriorating security situations.

Despite the severity of the incident dubbed ‘black Sunday’, Tolanibaj who participated in the 2020 Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition decided to write about her newest video.

She wrote:

The tweet raised eyebrows from Nigerians who slammed her for failing to “read the room” and exuding stoicism towards victims of the massacre and members of their family. She was admonished to take down the tweets, however, she has preferred to turn deaf ears to her critics.

Her action has invited trolls who are not holding back their harsh words to describe the reality star. As at the time of this publication, Tolanibaj is on the Twitter NG trending list.
